Jewish-Muslim Comedy Night

Apr 3rd 2018

Jewish-Muslim Comedy Night

Featuring –

As a teen, Pam Schuller had the worst diagnosed case of Tourette Syndrome in the country, a touch of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and a whole lot of pent-up anger. Now an internationally known disability and mental health advocate and professional stand-up comedian, Pamela’s stories of growing up in a body she had no control over are engaging, powerful, a little bit heart-wrenching, and unapologetically funny.  Pamela has spoken and performed in six countries, in almost every state in the US, and for more than 25,000 kids, teens, and adults.

Shelina Merani is a stand-up comedian, activist and award winning digital media strategist. She uses stand-up to empower and educate by sharing halal beefs, building bridges and humanizing Muslims.  “Standing up” means Shelina can speak out about issues that matter to her. The stage provides opportunities to speak her truth. America’s Got Talent wanted to hear about it and asked her to audition for season 12 in New York City (bling, bling). Although the reviews were good, the competition was stiff: singing and dancing dogs?  Shelina revels in making people laugh – it’s a non-alcoholic high.
