Who are the Rohingya?
Please join us for this urgent information event with expert panellists who will cover the history, current situation, and actions Canadians can take.
Panellists
Raees Ahmed is a Canadian of Rohingya ethnicity. He has volunteered in relief efforts around the world, including in Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh.
Ahmed Ramadan is Outreach Coordinator for the Burma Task Force. He has been advocating for the Rohingya with the Canadian government and in media.
Dr Nabiha Islam is a final year medical resident at University of Toronto, who has recently returned from volunteering in Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh.
Fareed Khan initiated a petition for the Canadian government to revoke Aung San Suu Kyi’s honorary Canadian citizenship, and has been vocal in media.
